I made a terrible mistake a week before our first cruise.
It was family movie night, and I noticed The Life of Pi had excellent ratings, but I didn’t know the storyline.
As I soon discovered, it’s about a boy whose ship sinks, and he gets trapped on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger.
So as we’re boarding our ship in Barcelona, Curly immediately asks the steward: “Are there any tigers on this ship?”
Later, my boys stood at rapt attention and asked a million questions as the crew tested the lifeboats.
More bad choices for pre-cruise viewing include Jaws and The Titanic. (Please don't ask me how I know that.)
